Bees Abroad – Online Donations – 2021 – UpDate

As many will know, each year RBKA fundraises for Bees Abroad during our AGM. We would really appreciate your support again this year for their latest campaign to help women in Africa develop skills for life through beekeeping.
Last year RBKA aimed to raise £1000 and with gift aid we raised over £2000. A great club effort.

A few days after we launched this 2021 appeal, we were notified by Bees Abroad of details about ‘The Big Give Christmas Challenge’ they are launching on Midday, 30th November and running until Midday, 7th December 2021 (

We propose keeping our Just Giving page open for now, and then during the 30th November,  subsequent donations via Just Giving will be redirected to the ‘Beekeepers for Life Big Give Campaign’.

You may therefore prefer to hold off making a donation until the 30th November in order that it attracts matched funds to double its value to Bees Abroad.

However, as Bees Abroad’s website states, the match funding is capped, so there is no absolute guarantee that all our donations made during the week of the ‘Challenge’ would be doubled.

You can donate to our JustGiving page THIS year by clicking here:

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Bees Abroad, so it’s the most efficient way to give – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Make your donation to Bees Abroad by the 3rd November and we will be able to announce the RUNNING TOTAL raised by then during the AGM. The appeal will be kept open until the 7th December.

Did you know that Reigate Beekeepers have donated some £8,000 over the years in support of Beekeeping projects in Africa, creating what becomes self sustaining employment for local beekeepers.

The Bees Abroad Story …

Bees Abroad has been relieving poverty for 21 years. We have over 40 live projects in 12 countries, across three continents. During this time we have helped to lift 50,000 people out of poverty. Research shows that income is improved by 20% and pollination of local crops is increased by 40%. A small charity with 15 expert beekeepers who share their skills in the poorest communities abroad needs your help to fund its project work. Please help them to continue for another 21 years.
